Why Coaching?
What are your goals or desired outcomes from coaching?
More self-confidence, learning to not take things personally, putting in action all the things that I want to do/ goals and dreams instead of just leaving that excitement in my thoughts. I want to lessen my care taker personality. I want to feel less alone. I have depression and anxiety when I’m not on meds - depression is still low lying even on meds.
Have you tried any methods in the past to achieve these goals?
If so, what did you try?
I had psychotherapy with a licensed professional counselor for 4 years in the late 2000’s and I learned a lot from her. I didn’t even know what a boundary was. I went through a cognitive behavioral session with a therapist. I learned a lot and I refer to those tools but it’s not natural. I am on a prescription for the last three years and it has stopped my anxiety but I feel like I don’t care about much anymore. I read a lot of books and follow a lot on Instagram. I forgot to mention that another book I enjoyed was the Wisdom of the Shaman.
Have you worked with a support person before in trying to make these changes?
If so, why do you feel it did not work?
I think I answered that in the previous question.
How committed and motivated are you to stay engaged in the steps needed to reach your desired outcomes?
I am committed. I enjoy learning and growing and mental health is a subject that interests me.
Personal growth can sometimes bring challenges you may have avoided in the past.
Are you ready to face these challenges?
I don’t know what these will be but I imagine that some things would be difficult. As long as I think it would be healthy for me I am willing to try.
When it comes to making changes, how patient are you with yourself?
A lot. I enjoy growing and am happy when I succeed in letting go of behaviour that do not serve me anymore.
What appeals to you most about the type of life coaching I provide?
It’s something that I haven’t tried - the Somatic Experience and look forward to seeing what it’s all about and how I can apply it to my life.

90-minute or 120-minute sessions are also available from the start if you prefer more time to process and integrate.
-
